Jay Eads is NOT an award winning photographer. Jay Eads did NOT attend photography or photo journalism school. Jay Eads doesn’t like talking about himself in 3rd person, it’s weird. We will not talk about ourselves as if there were a mob of people involved in the process, it’s just Jay.
Art has always been a part of who I am. I started out drawing from the time I was little. I began playing music when I was 5. I grew to love writing in high school. Singing, viola, guitar, short stories, and photography – I have constantly pursued ways to be creative. I still connect with music and drawing. I have grown to love photography. I love people. That works out nicely.
To me, the experience is as important as the photographs themselves. Incorporating humor and sentiment into my photography enables me to feel invested in the end result and in your happiness with what I provide. That sentence is as formal as it is going to get with me… we will have fun on the shoot so that you enjoy it, that’s the whole point. Seeing your reaction to the pictures is what makes this all worthwhile to me.
Every photographer says they love what they do. I want to prove it with my images.
I started out as just a guy with a camera – I can’t tell you where I’ll end up.
